About

I never paint dreams or nightmares. I paint my own reality.
— Frida Khalo

Tranifer Lovely is a contemporary watercolor artist living and working from her fortress of solitude deep within the Maine woods.

Her work is a love song to the forgotten. Creatures and and scenes often overlooked or shunned by others are the source of much of her inspiration. Along with the magic that can be found while exploring the woodlands of the North East. Often taking inspiration from naturalism biological art, and old children's books, she is known to incorporate various flora and fauna into her pieces, grounding them, ever so slightly, in reality, while allowing her imagination to run wild.

Outside of creating art, Tranifer also enjoys spending time with her zoo of oddball pets (hedgehogs, sugar gliders, snails, and frogs, to name a few) and tending to her indoor houseplant jungle, along with collecting oddities and victorian antiques.
